Megan first came to the attention of the wider world in 2011 following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album “Making Waves” which saw her songs played on national and regional radio and playlisted regularly on BBC Radio 2, where sessions with Bob Harris, Terry Wogan, Janice Long and others followed. She has since played live in all corners of the UK and is a regular performer at all the bigger UK music festivals; Glastonbury, Cambridge, Larmer Tree, Wilderness and Secret Garden Party among them.

She first came to the notice of the folk fraternity when she won the BBC’s Young Folk Award in 2009 and was nominated for their Horizon Award in 2012. Her music is clearly rooted in folk but it has seen her put her own youthful and modern slant on a medium which has found a place on the mainstream map through artists such as the Mumfords, Laura Marling and the Bombay Bicycle Club etc.

Over the last year or so between regular local live appearances she has concentrated on writing and recording in her native Oxfordshire where she has rightly taken her time to deliver an album very much on her own terms. The album “Head Heart Hand” is scheduled for release later in 2014.
